Overview

Seek Helper is a Chrome browser extension that assists job seekers on Seek.com. This privacy policy explains what data the extension does and does not collect.

Data Collection

Seek Helper collects no personal data.

The extension does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any information about you or your browsing activity.

Local Storage

The only data the extension writes is a record of which Seek job listings you have marked as “applied”. This data is:

  • Stored exclusively in your browser’s localStorage on the Seek domain
  • Keyed by Seek job ID (a numeric identifier, not personal information)
  • Never transmitted to any server or third party
  • Never read by the extension developer
  • Automatically cleared when you clear your browser’s site data for seek.com

Clipboard

When you click the Copy button, the extension writes the job description text to your clipboard. The extension never reads from your clipboard.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

Host access to *.seek.com, *.seek.com.au, *.seek.co.nz To read job description content from the page and inject the toolbar UI

No other permissions are requested or used.

Third Parties

Seek Helper does not integrate with, send data to, or load code from any third-party service. When you click the LinkedIn button, your browser opens a LinkedIn URL directly — the extension passes only the company name as a search query in the URL, the same as if you had typed it yourself.

Remote Code

The extension contains no remote code. All JavaScript runs locally from the installed extension package. No external scripts are loaded.

Children’s Privacy

This extension is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
