Effective date: April 22, 2025
SalesBar for eBay is a Chrome browser extension that displays sales statistics (7-day, 15-day, and 30-day sold counts), category, location, delivery estimate, and watcher count directly on eBay listing pages. This data is read from the eBay page you are already viewing — no additional accounts or logins are required.
The extension collects only the following anonymous, non-personal data:
chrome.storage.local.
It is not linked to your identity, eBay account, or any other personal information.
Anonymous session IDs and item IDs are sent to a backend service (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) to store and retrieve sales snapshots. This allows the extension to display previously synced sales figures when you revisit a listing.
Usage events are sent to the same backend solely for operational monitoring (e.g. detecting when the sync feature fails). No event data is shared with third parties or used for advertising.
No data is sold, rented, or shared with any third party for any purpose. The backend infrastructure is operated solely by the extension developer.
Sales snapshots are stored server-side to allow cross-session retrieval. Anonymous session IDs are stored locally in your browser and are cleared if you uninstall the extension or clear your browser storage.
You can remove all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage. You can also disable the extension at any time from chrome://extensions.
If this policy changes in a material way, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
